Mrs. Elizabeth Carnes Brazelton of 4010 W. Laural Street, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2008.
Funeral services will be held Saturday,October 11, 2008, 1P.M. at Allen Temple A.M.E. Church, 2101 North Lowe Street, Reverend Willie J. Cook, Pastor,Officiating. Interment Sunday, Daytona Memorial Park Cemetery,Daytona Beach,Fl.
Mrs. Brazelton was native of National Gardens,Florida. At an early her family moved to Daytona Beach,Florida, where she received her early education in the public schools of Volusia County. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Bethune Cookman College.Mrs. Brazelton relocated to the Tampa Bay area over 50 years ago and was a Teacher at Ozona and Curtis Elementary Schools,retiring from the schools system after 35 years of service .Mrs. Brazelton was a member of Allen Temple A.M. E. Church and Co-founder of Smith Funeral Home.
She leaves to cherish her memories, Husband , Samuel ‘Skin” Brazelton; a host of nephews and nieces including, Jerome B. Smith,Sr.(Lynda), Calvin “Tony” Sharper(Roshelle) niece, Brenda Hill; Janice Hayes(Paul),Connie Roundtree(Alphonso),Sharon Pierre(Felix),Jennifer Miller(Hugh),Willie Sharper(Bobbie),Gail White, Terry,Keith,Corey,Conrad Massey, Devon Smith, Jerome, Jr., Jerrold and Shalonda Smith,Arthur,Jr and Arthur Harris,III , Rahji and Adrienna Garvin; Janice Ragdale, Joyce and Dexter Carnes, Mickey Rawls , Cherly Weaver, Derrick Grace(Vannessa) and Miquel Comacho(Adrienne); the entire Brazelton family including Veronica Robinson,Rev. Carr Brazelton (Sarah), Mary Ann Moore and Ruby Hart; host of cousins, great nieces and nephew other relatives and friends
